Amanda Alvaro

Managing Director

Amanda Alvaro is the founding Managing Director of Narrative Advocacy Media. Over her career, she has worked on brand development, marketing, advertising and public relations for a diverse range of business, government and not-for-profit organizations including; Scotiabank, WIND Mobile, Rethink Breast Cancer and Ministry of Health and Long Term Care. She is known for her ability to build corporate and executive reputations and has provided counsel to small and mid-cap companies in various industries, including education, automotive, finance, health care, and telecommunications.

Before joining Narrative and the Bensimon Byrne team, Amanda worked as the Sr. Communications and Issues Advisor for Ontario’s Minister of Education and served as the Sr. Media Advisor to Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty in the 2007 provincial election.

Amanda is a regular commentator for print, radio and broadcast news outlets. She is a founding member of Ad Women of Toronto, Chair of Ad Ball 2010 and serves on a variety of boards and fundraising committees, including Innovators Ball, Power Ball and Artbound. She is also an Ink Truck Media online publisher of Torontoist.com and its sister sites: The Style Notebook and Books.Torontoist.

Karey Templeton

VP, Group Account Director

With over 20 years in the advertising business, Karey Templeton has managed some of Canada’s most well-known brands including Procter and Gamble, Scotiabank, Bell Canada, Hostess Frito-Lay, Warner-Lambert, Mattel and Cancer Care Ontario. She has been with Bensimon Byrne for 11 years and is currently the Group Account Director overseeing the Ministry of Health Promotion and Beef Information Centre businesses.

Peter Hickey

VP, Group Account Director

With over 15 years’ experience developing successful corporate brand strategies and social marketing campaigns, Peter Hickey now leads the development of strategies and creative communications with Narrative and has spearheaded campaigns that have produced a shelf full of Cassies for the agency.

Peter has a keen understanding of the pressures and sensitivities for Public Sector and issues-based advertising – prior to moving to the agency side, he worked with both the Federal and Ontario Provincial governments, holding posts at the Canadian Department of Public Works, Ontario Ministry of Education, Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and in the Office of Premier Mike Harris, where he was a Special Advisor on Mass Communications and Public Opinion Research.

Lindsay Mattick Davidson

Director of PR

A founding member of the Narrative team, Lindsay Mattick Davidson oversees all public relations campaigns undertaken by Narrative Media from creative concept to execution. Known for her strong journalistic instincts and creative insight, Lindsay manages PR activity and progress for current accounts including: WIND Mobile, Trillium Gift of Life Network, Ontario Science Centre, Scotiabank, Scotia Private Client Group, and Rethink Breast Cancer - just to name a few.

Prior to life at Narrative, Lindsay worked with both established and start- up companies on the client and agency side conceptualizing and managing national, regional and community public relations campaigns in the education, financial, consumer, environmental, telecom, and not-for-profit sectors.

Jill Engelman

Account Director

Jill Engelman is the Account Director on iShares, Trillium Gift of Life Network and Canada Health Infoway. Prior to joining Narrative, Jill worked with clients in financial (Scotiabank, CIBC), packaged goods (Dove, Kraft, Nestle), and technology (Compaq) among others.

Anne Shephard

Account Director

Anne Shephard brings 12 years experience managing annual reports, collateral and direct mail projects for companies such as Rogers, Rogers Wireless, Nexfor, Infoway and Clarica. Her primary focus for the past years has been on the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care portfolio and has recently expanded her responsibilities on this account by co-managing their on-line and off-line advertising requirements.

Natali Tofiloski

Account Supervisor

Before joining Narrative Advocacy Media, Natali Tofiloski spent seven years in the advertising and marketing communications industry, fulfilling her desire to produce great creative that achieved strong results for her clients. Her experience is diverse, as she has managed accounts ranging from the financial services, automotive, and packaged goods industries to social marketing clientele.

Recently, Natali turned her love of writing and communications into a career in the Public Relations industry. Her dedication and determination, not to mention her gift of gab, has proven effective in her new role as she continues to provide results and amass excellent media coverage for clients such as Trillium Gift of Life Network and Scotiabank.

Natali knew from a young age what career was in her future, having been strongly influenced by the dynamic Angela Bower of “Who’s the Boss” fame.

Tricia Soltys

Account Supervisor

Tricia Soltys has over 12 years of communications experience with roots in both the non-profit and private sectors. Tricia's diverse portfolio includes experience in public relations, event management, digital marketing, corporate sponsorship and issues management.

At Narrative, Tricia currently leads PR and event activities for Ontario Science Centre, Scotiabank and the Bensimon Byrne Consumerology Report. Before joining Narrative, Tricia worked on well known brands such as Rogers Wireless and Globalive Communications, as well as several high-profile events including Bell Celebrity Gala, Niagara Wine Auction, Book Lovers Ball, and One Wish Gala.

Micha Goddard

Account Manager

As one of the original members of the Narrative team, Micha Goddard has been instrumental in the success of her clients’ businesses and in the growth of the agency. She is valued for the creativity, strategic insight, and endless enthusiasm that she consistently brings to each project. Driven by a passion for communication, Micha has worked with an array of clients from consumer and retail, to finance and telecom, to not-for-profit and the arts.

Micha’s comprehensive education includes a BA in Communication Studies from York University, a Post Graduate Certificate in Public Relations and Corporate Communications from Centennial College, and a Fundamentals of Advertising Certificate from the Institute of Communication Agencies (ICA). Micha is also a member of the Canadian Public Relations Society (CPRS).

Natalia is a graduate from the University of Guelph-Humber with an honours BAA in Media Studies and a diploma in Media Communications with specializations in Public Relations.
